Rainy Days at Beachy Head

Image Coming Soon

Eastbourne has long been known as the Sunshine Coast, claiming more hours of sunshine than most of the UK for many years, nearly 500 more hours than the national average.

Sadly we can't guarantee a dry sunny day every day of the year. But don't let poor weather put you off visiting, there is plenty to do at the Beachy Head Experience, even on a soggy day.

Flight Over Beachy Head

Our green screen video experience allows you to fly over Beachy Head without your feet ever leaving the ground, or your head getting wet.

The Trails

If there's a break in the rain you can pop across the road to do The Landmarks Trail or Peak Puzzle Trail in less than an hour. You can break your trail at any point and come back into the visitor centre if you need to, there's no time limit to complete a trail.

Your admission includes access to the Beachy Head Trails App for 3 days, so you may be able to come back on a drier day too.

Brave the Elements

If you're one not to let a few rain drops and a stiff breeze stop you from enjoying the great outdoors, then good on you.

It can get very windy up here on Beachy Head and visibility can also be greatly reduced by low cloud, so please keep well clear of the cliff edge, respect safety barriers, keep your dog under close control, and don't bother with an umbrella.
