Dog Friendly

Dog Friendly
Well behaved four legged friends and waggy tails are very welcome inside the visitor centre as long as their owner is on a short lead please. We provide a water bowl and free dog treats.
We promote responsible dog ownership and ask that you also keep your dog on a lead near the cliff edge and when crossing fields with livestock.
We even provide free dog poop bags if you run out or forget to bring them, just ask at reception.
Accessibility
The visitor centre is accessible and all on one level. The main public toilet facilities and accessible toilet are located in the main Beachy Head Car Park.
The Peace Path just opposite the visitor centre is laid with tarmac but is steep in places.

Why charge?

Why charge?
The old Beachy Head Story was free, why do we charge?
Eastbourne Borough Council used to run the old Beachy Head Story. It is now run by Animazing, a local Community Interest Company. We have to pay rent, electricity, etc., and our lovely staff. We do not aim to make a profit and do not have any shareholders. Any surplus will be invested in enhancing the experience, community projects, and supporting the local environment.
You can visit our shop and tourist information point for free.
