What's On at the Beachy Head Experience

We're currently gearing up to open, but we have some fantastic future exhibitions and events lined up for the centre in future.

Every few months we will update the experience in our temporary exhibition space.

Some of the exhibitions to look forward to include Thunderbirds and TV puppets, Stop motion and animation, The Cold War, and Sussex on Screen.

Beachy Head Lighthouse Challenge 2026

14th June 2026

The Rotary Club of Eastbourne AM organise an annual walk to the Beachy Head Lighthouse to raise funds for local charities.

Walking to the lighthouse is not normally recommended, so this supervised walk is a great way to see our famous lighthouse up close, but it is not for the faint hearted.

Find more information and book your space on the Rotary website.

The Beachy Head Experience is not affiliated with the Lighthouse Challenge.

2026 to 2029

In 1926 an act of parliament gave Eastbourne Corporation powers to buy the Eastbourne Downland Estate, from Belle Tout, Beachy Head and Holywell on the coast to Willingdon, with the purchase completed in 1929. Since then residents and visitors have enjoyed the benefits of open public access to much of the downland.

We'll be celebrating with a series of special exhibitions and events.

Work as part of a team to complete the escape room-style puzzles and challenges (suitable for age 5 upwards with grown up help) and locate Santa so the presents can be delivered on Christmas Eve.

Sort Santa's mail, prepare the sleigh, load the presents, match the reindeer treats, and more.
